St Andrew’s is committed to providing premium support in a non-clinical and gentle environment ensuring quality end-of-life care and privacy for residents and their families.
A majority of people in Australia (70%) express the wish to spend their last days of life outside hospital; however, just over half of people still die in hospital care.  Providing alternative pathways to hospital respects the commonly expressed preference from patients to spend their last days out of hospital.

Our Hospice area operates within our Residential Aged Care Facility. High quality end of life care is limited outside of specialist palliative care hospital beds, but palliative care patients who are unable to be supported in their home environment but do not necessarily require hospital care, are candidates for hospice within our residential aged care facility.
