Our People

The high regard the Ballina community has for St Andrews is due to our people – our residents, their families and friends, our staff, our Board of Directors, volunteers, Executive Management team and contractors.

At St Andrews, our mission is to continually identify and respond to the evolving needs of the residents in our care. St Andrews residents are treated with dignity and respect, and staff are committed to ensuring they have the highest levels of comfort, safety and privacy.

While residents and clients are central to the function of St Andrews, we encourage interaction between our residents, clients, family, friends, and staff – together we make the difference. We encourage active involvement, including visiting, outings or events. This makes a huge difference to the health and wellbeing of all and enables us to truly live life to the fullest.

The model of governance adopted by the St Andrews Board of Directors encourages a platform for the free exchange of ideas. All staff regardless of role, our residents, relatives and friends are encouraged to contribute ideas and communicate freely. We value all ideas and contributions to the St Andrews community.

Our staff are valued for their professionalism, experience, courtesy, warmth and the care extended to residents and families. We partner with accredited training organisations and all staff have access to regular training and workshops in order to update and elevate their qualifications and skills. St Andrews is proud of our award-winning status and our position as an employer of choice within the community. At the heart of our philosophy is excellence in service. Similarly, volunteers are essential to our community and form an integral part in the care of our residents. St Andrews welcomes those interested in being involved in many fun and rewarding activities we organize and to bringing a happy and harmonious atmosphere to our service and care.
