2025 Staff Satisfaction Survey Results

St Andrew’s has released the results of our 2025 Staff Satisfaction Survey, and the story it tells is genuinely encouraging. Ninety-six staff from across all areas of the organisation took part, and the feedback shows a team that feels proud of the work they do and positive about the direction we are heading. The overall result was 3.94 out of 5, and the Net Promoter Score of +46 places St Andrew’s in a very strong position compared with typical aged care benchmarks.

One of the clearest messages from staff was that they feel well supported to provide high-quality care. The highest result in the entire survey was a score of 4.42 out of 5 for having the resources and tools they need to do their jobs confidently. Staff also reported feeling valued at work, supported by our People & Culture team, and comfortable approaching their managers when they need help. These results reflect the steady investment we’ve made in training, systems and workplace culture over the past two years.

Staff comments added depth to the numbers. Many spoke about the strong relationships within their teams, the pride they take in caring for residents, and the feeling of belonging that comes from working at St Andrew’s. This sense of connection is one of the most important indicators of a healthy workplace, and it was reflected throughout the survey.

The feedback also gave us helpful guidance on where to improve. Staff highlighted the need for more consistent communication, stronger teamwork across shifts, and a more structured onboarding experience for new colleagues. These are practical areas we can focus on, and many of them are already underway through leadership development, rostering improvements and redesigning our onboarding program.

What stood out most this year was how constructive the feedback was. The vast majority of comments were thoughtful, respectful and future-focused. Staff didn’t just point out areas for improvement — they offered ideas and suggestions.

Overall, the 2025 results tell a positive story of a workforce that feels supported, valued and proud of its work. They also give us a clear roadmap for continuing to strengthen our culture in the year ahead. We are grateful to every staff member who contributed, and we are committed to using this feedback to keep improving the experience of working at St Andrew’s,  so that our staff can continue providing the high-quality, compassionate care our residents deserve.
