St Andrews is committed to assisting people to remain in their own homes through the provision of a range of community services though our community care service – St Andrews Care.

St Andrew’s Care (formerly known as North Coast Minders) has provided quality community care services in the Far North Coast since 1983.

St Andrews Community Care offers a range of long or short term tailored solutions to help people experiencing life’s challenges to manage in the comfort and security of their own home.

Staff can provide support with everyday activities including: personal care, light housekeeping, clinical care, social support, shopping and transportation.

At St Andrews Community Care we pride ourselves on being able to creatively and flexibly develop solutions to meet individual needs and preferences. Our approach recognises people’s strengths and individuality, specialising in innovative solutions to address complex needs. Our services operate solely across the Far North Coast Region; this means we know the people, the communities, the resources and the environment. Services to all areas are coordinated through our head office and contact centre in Ballina.

St Andrews Community Care staff undergoes comprehensive recruitment, orientation and training processes to enable them to provide a complete range of services to people choosing to reside in the homes.

St Andrews Community Care employs Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, Home and Garden Maintenance staff and Domestic service staff, available to provide services 7 days a week.

Services include:

DVA Funded Services

Veterans Home Care – light house hold tasks and home and garden maintenance support. Veterans Community Nursing – provision of clinical care, personal care and medication supervision.

Fee for service – clients pay an hourly rate for services provided.

Community Care: all clinical support services

Private Care at Home: any support clients require within Workplace Health and Safety Guidelines and staff competency
